Tracy Sanna is a therapist in Carlsbad who received her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling with a focus on spiritually integrated psychotherapy from Loyola University Maryland. She began her career as a therapist at two acute care facilities, helping teens and adults work through issues including substance abuse, self-harm, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Since then, she has worked as an outpatient private practice therapist in Maryland. In addition to counseling, Tracy finds joy in teaching. She taught middle and high school for ten years and currently teaches undergraduate Psychology. Tracy moved to San Diego from Baltimore, Maryland, at the beginning of 2022 and deeply enjoys exploring the beauty of the West Coast.
Tracy believes that healing and transformation occur when we explore our felt experience. Emotion within the body holds the wisdom we have been seeking all along. Modern life, stress, grief, trauma, and fear create challenges to being with our felt experience. Her hope is to hold the space and provide the tools for you to connect with the blueprint for healing and change that is already within you.
Tracy takes a holistic approach to therapy, integrating various modalities such as somatic therapy, equine assisted therapy, EMDR therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to address the mind-body connection. She is committed to providing a safe, compassionate space where clients can explore their emotions and cultivate self-compassion. Tracy’s focus is on helping individuals build resilience, emotional regulation, and a deeper understanding of themselves. She is passionate about supporting clients on their journey toward greater alignment, healing, and personal growth, guiding them to rediscover their innate capacity for transformation.
